I went there only once (June 12, 2010) and security kicked me out for smoking weed on the outdoor terrace (at a night where everybody else was very obviously completely off their face on Class A drugs). Security were very confrontational and aggressive despite the fact that I stayed calm and polite throughout it all. I'm 35 and that was the first time that I've been kicked out of any club or pub for any reason in my life. Blue Mountain? Never again! There's dozens of friendly clubs in Bristol to choose from. I don't need aggression in my life.

          

Blue Mountain has some good events but on the nights I've been there the overwhelming security presence (inside and outside) for such a small venue spoilt the atmosphere a little. It’s still a pretty cool club but having the choice I’d prefer to head to Timbuk2 or Lakota instead.
